PACKAGING & TRANSIT TESTING

Our experts can provide you with the necessary advice and guidance to ensure that the products you are exporting are securely and safely packaged. We can assess and test your packaging in a real-world transport environment, offering advice in both design and materials selection. With our help, you can be sure that your products will reach their destinations in perfect condition.

What are the key benefits?

•   Increased customer satisfaction
•   Reduced costs normally associated with damaged goods
•   Improved environmental and cost benefits through the elimination of excessive packaging materials
•   Enhanced brand image and reputation

Our services include evaluations within the following ISTA performance testing categories:

1 Series: Non-Simulation Integrity Performance Tests

Challenges such as strength and robustness tests can be used as screening tests, especially when used as a consistent benchmark over time, even though these tests are not designed to simulate environmental occurrences.

2 Series: Partial Simulation Performance Tests

A General Simulation performance test containing at least one element of a 3 Series Type must include the basic elements of a 1 Series Test.

3 Series: General Simulation Performance Tests

Designed to replicate the damaging motions, forces, conditions, and sequences of transport that occur in many different environments, such as different vehicle types and routes or varying handling exposures, this laboratory simulation is applicable to a wide range of circumstances.

4 Series: Enhanced Simulation Performance Tests

A General Simulation test should include at least one component of focused simulation, such as a test sequence or condition that is linked to an actual recognized distribution.

5 Series: Specialized Test Protocols

ISTA reviews and approves tests created by its members with their particular purposes and applications in mind, whether these tests are completely original, modifications or variations of ISTA procedures or projects, or other published and accepted tests. However, primary responsibility for these tests rests with the originating members.

7 Series: Development Tests

These tests are employed to assess the relative performance of two or more container designs in the development of transport packages, but not to measure the amount of protection offered to the products in the package.
